Forged steel valves are widely used in critical piping systems where strength, reliability, and safety are essential

Forged steel valves are widely used in critical piping systems where strength, reliability, and safety are essential. Manufactured through a forging process, these valves have a dense structure and improved mechanical properties compared with cast valves, making them suitable for demanding working conditions.

Common types of forged steel valves include gate valves, globe valves, check valves, and ball valves. Gate valves are typically used for on-off service with minimal pressure drop. Globe valves are preferred for flow regulation, while check valves prevent backflow in pipelines. Ball valves provide quick shut-off and are easy to operate in high-pressure systems.

In terms of materials, forged steel valves are often made from carbon steel (such as A105), alloy steel (such as F11 and F22), and stainless steel (such as F304 and F316). Carbon steel valves are commonly used in general industrial applications, while alloy steel valves are suitable for high-temperature services. Stainless steel valves offer excellent corrosion resistance, making them ideal for chemical, oil and gas, and offshore environments.

The temperature range of forged steel valves depends on the material selection. Carbon steel valves are typically used in temperatures from -29°C to around 425°C. Alloy steel valves can handle higher temperatures, often exceeding 500°C. Stainless steel valves are suitable for both low and high temperature applications, depending on the grade.

Regarding pressure rating, forged steel valves are designed for high-pressure applications, commonly ranging from Class 150 to Class 2500. Their strong body structure ensures reliable performance under extreme pressure conditions.

These forged steel valves are widely used in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, and refining systems, where durability and safety are critical.
