The centerline soft-seated butterfly valve is a widely used flow control valve designed for reliable shut-off and regulation in low to medium pressure systems. With a simple structure and compact design, it is commonly installed in pipelines where space and cost efficiency are important.

The valve features a centerline disc design, where the disc rotates around the central axis of the seat. The soft seat, usually made of EPDM, NBR, or PTFE, provides tight sealing performance and minimizes leakage. The valve body materials typically include ductile iron, cast iron, carbon steel, and stainless steel, allowing the valve to be used in different working environments.

In terms of temperature range, the performance depends largely on the seat material. EPDM seats are suitable for water and steam applications with temperatures up to around 120°C. NBR seats are commonly used for oil and gas media, with a lower temperature range of about -10°C to 90°C. PTFE seats offer higher temperature resistance, often up to 180°C, and are widely used in chemical and corrosive environments.

The pressure rating of a centerline soft-seated butterfly valve is generally PN10 or PN16, making it suitable for low-pressure and medium-pressure systems. Its lightweight structure and easy operation, whether by manual lever, gear operator, or actuator, make it a practical choice for many industries.

This type of butterfly valve is widely applied in water treatment, HVAC systems, fire protection, chemical processing, and food and beverage industries. With good sealing performance, simple maintenance, and versatile material options, it remains a reliable solution for general pipeline control.
