Connection types:
Flanged, BW, threaded, SW; wafer, double union, quick-connect, etc.
Actuation: Pneumatic
Opening Process:
In the closed position, the ball is mechanically pressed by the valve stem and tightly seated against the valve seat.
When the handwheel is turned counterclockwise, the stem moves in the opposite direction, and the angled flat at its bottom lifts the ball off the seat.
As the stem continues to rise, it interacts with the guide pin in the stem’s helical groove, allowing the ball to rotate without friction.
At the fully open position, the stem reaches its upper limit and the ball rotates to the fully open position.
Closing Process:
During closing, the handwheel is turned clockwise; the stem begins to descend and causes the ball to disengage from the seat and start rotating.
Continued rotation of the handwheel allows the guide pin embedded in the stem’s helical groove to drive both the stem and ball to rotate 90° simultaneously.
Just before closing, the ball has rotated 90° without contacting the valve seat.
During the final turns of the handwheel, the angled flat at the bottom of the stem mechanically wedges and presses the ball tightly against the seat, achieving complete sealing.
Application: Oil & Gas, Chemical, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Power Generation, Marine, Construction, Aerospace, Automotive, Water Treatment.
